Location: Onsite – 5 days per week (Mississauga)
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 base + up to 10% performance bonus
Equity: Eligible to participate in BoomerangFX Stock Option Plan after 6 months

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manager of IT Operations & Network Security to join our growing team at BoomerangFX. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust IT infrastructure to support our fast-paced operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with expertise in managing complex IT systems, network security, server administration, cloud solutions, and disaster recovery planning. This role is crucial in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Design and Management: Design, implement, and manage the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud platforms.
Network Administration: Oversee the management and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks, ensuring high availability and security.
Server and Cloud Management: Administer and maintain both on-premises servers and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), including system backups, monitoring, and scaling.
Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures (e.g., firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection systems) to protect against threats and ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies, ensuring quick recovery and minimal downtime during incidents.
System Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor IT systems for performance, proactively addressing any issues to improve efficiency and reliability.
Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to other IT staff, end-users, and departments as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, such as Development, Operations, and HR, to integrate new technologies and optimize current systems.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of all IT infrastructure and systems, including configurations, network diagrams, and system updates.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors for hardware, software, and network services, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely resolution of issues.
Team Leadership and Mentoring: Provide leadership and guidance to junior IT team members, helping them grow and develop their technical skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, including systems and network administration, cloud technologies, and security management.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux/Unix systems, and macOS administration.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, etc
