Job Specifications
About PaceZero Capital Partners
PaceZero Capital Partners (“PaceZero”) is an independent sustainability-focused private debt firm, executing credit investments in established, high-growth companies developing innovative technologies that drive improved social and environmental outcomes.
Job Description
We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills who can operate in a fast-paced and unstructured environment and support a variety of tasks, including market research, preparing marketing materials, and conducting financial analysis.
Today, these processes rely heavily on manual work, fragmented tools, and ad hoc workflows, which create delays, error risk, and limited capacity to grow assets under management. Although PaceZero already uses several AI tools, their use is individual and unstructured rather than embedded in standardized processes. This AI Automation Intern will address that gap by designing new AI-enabled business processes.
This role will be exposed to and asked to contribute to various other activities as needed within a small, dynamic organization. The successful candidate will acquire hands-on experience in the technology, sustainability and structured finance space. By the end of the project, PaceZero expects to have a clearly defined process blueprint and a prioritized implementation roadmap for adopting new technology-driven processes.
How You Will Contribute
Participate in the due diligence process and preparation of investment reports and presentation materials.
Map and document current workflows across the firm's four focus areas to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
Identify concrete AI use cases (e.g., automating data extraction, investor reporting drafts, pipeline screening, and marketing content).
Test and compare specific AI tools against current workflows, evaluating fit, accuracy, and ease of integration.
Recommend and document redesigned workflows that integrate selected tools, including defined roles, hand-offs, and quality controls.
Deliver a prioritized implementation roadmap for adopting new technology-driven processes across the firm.
Conduct business development activities, including identifying, qualifying and evaluating a variety of companies based on PaceZero's investment mandate.
Job Requirements
Candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, computer science, information systems, or a related field (e.g., Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Science) and graduating in Spring 2027 or have graduated within the past 12 months (e.g., May or June 2025 graduates are eligible).
Entrepreneurial mindset – initiative and the ability to play a key role as a team member in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
Comfortable with standard productivity and analytical tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, work ethic and critical thinking skills.
Direct experience in private market investments is considered an asset.
Practical experience with or strong interest in AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude, Perplexity, Superhuman, or similar) and a demonstrated ability to evaluate their application to business processes.
Strong process-mapping and documentation skills; ability to translate unstructured workflows into clear, standardized procedures.
A builder mindset — curiosity about how emerging technology can improve real business operations, not just theoretical interest.
Additional Information
Applications must include a cover letter, resume and transcript in one PDF.
We welcome all applications; however, we will only contact qualified candidates chosen for an interview. Thank you for your interest.
This position is a 3-month work term and will commence in June 2026.
