You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to identify value-driven solutions, validate technical feasibility, and implement Proof of Concepts (PoCs).

Your goal: Be our customer’s trusted technical advisor, eliminate technical barriers in the pre-sales process, and set the stage for long-term success with the customer!

ResponsibilitiesAccelerate Technical Sales Journeys

Partner with customers and cross-functional teams to identify key problems, propose innovative technical solutions, and validate feasibility.
Serve as the technical subject matter expert in meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations, ensuring customer needs are effectively addressed.
Configure and tailor the Trackunit solution to align with customer requirements, showcasing its value and impact.
Oversee technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs), including setting up test environments with accounts, CAN profiles, and API access, to validate technical feasibility and streamline the sales process—enhancing Trackunit’s ability to win deals by reducing technical friction.

Own Technical Success for New Leads

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product, to ensure technical commitments made during the sales process are both feasible and aligned with delivery capabilities.
Establish trust with technical stakeholders at prospective customer organizations by providing clear, expert guidance on Trackunit’s technical capabilities and solutions.

Coordinate Internal Alignment for New Customers

Act as the voice of the customer within Trackunit, ensuring technical requirements and feedback from new leads are effectively communicated to relevant teams.
Collaborate with Product Management to share insights on market trends and customer needs, directing product development and roadmap priorities.
Contribute to the development of tools, templates, and best practices to optimize the technical sales process and improve the customer experience.

Who are you ideally?

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience with pre-sales, Sales Engineering (Solution Architect/Engineer) or customer-facing roles within the SaaS, IoT, and industrial IoT industries.
Deep understanding of IoT solutions architecture, protocols, and connectivity technologies such as J1939 CANbus and Modbu.
Extensive experience in managing the technical components of securing new deals and contributing to the seamless acquisition of strategic accounts and key logos.
Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Strategic thinker with a forward-thinking approach to problem-solving and shaping business outcomes.
Sales-mindset with a focus on becoming the customers trusted technical advisor and guiding them through the process of becoming a Trackunit customer.
You are curious and have the will to find the root cause to customer’s challenges and needs.
Expect 2-3 travels days on average per month, across North America and Canada.
