About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Application Operations Engineer to strengthen our cybersecurity posture by embedding security into every stage of the software development lifecycle. In this role, you’ll collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure secure design, development, and deployment of applications.

Key Responsibilities

Champion secure development practices across teams and projects.
Design and implement strategies to identify and remediate application vulnerabilities.
Act as a trusted advisor to development teams, providing guidance on secure coding and architecture.
Integrate security tools and automation into CI/CD pipelines to streamline DevSecOps workflows.
Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new features and systems.
Establish and maintain processes for code reviews and automated security testing.
Track and report security metrics to measure effectiveness and compliance.
Partner with other cybersecurity teams to address risks across the technology stack.
Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies to continuously improve security capabilities.
Communicate security concepts clearly to technical and business stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Application Security, or related fields.
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
Deep understanding of secure development principles and modern software practices.

Technical Expertise

Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools and SSDLC frameworks.
Proficiency in threat modeling, risk analysis, and secure design reviews.
Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools (e.g., Veracode, SonarQube, Snyk, Burp Suite).
Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and vulnerability remediation.
Programming experience in languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Understanding of industry standards (OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001).
Relevant certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, OSCP) are an asset.
