Technical Consultant – Remote (UK) – Microsoft Gold Partner – Up to £70,000 + 10% Bonus

Overview:

We are working with a leading technology services organisation to recruit an Infrastructure Consultant into their Professional Services team. This role focuses on the design and delivery of enterprise infrastructure solutions across a broad customer base.

This is a customer-facing, project-led position that combines technical consultancy, solution design, and hands-on delivery across modern data centre environments.

The successful candidate will come from a professional services or consultancy background, with strong experience delivering infrastructure projects across virtualisation, compute, storage, networking, and backup technologies within enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver enterprise infrastructure solutions across a wide range of customer environments
Act as a technical subject matter expert and escalation point within your core technology areas
Lead or support the end-to-end delivery of technical projects, ensuring scope, quality and timelines are met
Produce high-quality technical documentation including Low Level Designs (LLDs), implementation documentation and Statements of Work (SoW)
Ensure solutions are delivered in line with best practices, standards and reference architectures

Skills & Experience Required:

Expertise across core data centre technologies including:

Virtualisation: VMware vSphere, vCenter, VMware ecosystem
Microsoft Infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, hybrid cloud / Azure environments
Compute Platforms: Dell or HPE server infrastructure
Enterprise Storage: Dell, HPE, NetApp or similar storage platforms
Backup & Data Protection: Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik or similar technologies
Networking: Cisco switching and routing within enterprise environments
Proven ability to produce technical documentation (LLDs, diagrams, SoWs, test plans)
Strong experience delivering enterprise infrastructure projects in a consultancy or professional services environment

Package Details:

Up to £70,000 base salary
10% performance-related bonus
