Senior Cisco Network & Security Engineer (Contract, Remote - Global Pharma)
We are looking for a Senior Network & Security Engineer to join our network and security team at a leading global pharmaceutical company on a contract basis. You will play a key role in supporting critical IT initiatives across multiple locations worldwide throughout 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimise Cisco Firepower/FTD Firewalls, including configuration, policy management, tuning, and troubleshooting.
Administer and maintain Cisco Meraki environments, covering switching, wireless, and security appliances.
Design, implement, and support WAN networks, including MPLS, DMVPN, and routing solutions.
Contribute to strategic programs such as SD-WAN transitions, OT infrastructure, and security enhancements.
Provide technical guidance and act as a trusted resource to the broader network and security team.
Review and update Firewall policies, and support network and security improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills:
Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower/FTD, Cisco Meraki, and enterprise routing technologies.
Strong analytical and design capabilities - able to plan solutions, not just execute.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across a global team.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in large, multi-site enterprises.
Familiarity with OT/IT network segmentation.
Exposure to SD-WAN deployments.
Strong documentation and process discipline.
Contract Details:
Remote, full-time, supporting multiple global sites.
Minimum 6-month duration with strong likelihood of extension through 2026.
Budget TBD; competitive market rate based on experience.
