The Salesforce Architect is a strategic, hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable Salesforce solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the Salesforce platform meets evolving organizational needs. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, translating complex requirements into secure, high‑performance, and future‑ready solutions.
About the Role
The Salesforce Architect is responsible for leading Salesforce initiatives and ensuring the platform aligns with organizational needs.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead and architect for Salesforce initiatives across Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.
Design and implement scalable, secure Salesforce solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and best practices.
Lead architectural reviews, integration design, and code quality processes across internal teams and third‑party developers.
Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements, prototype solutions, and deliver high‑value CRM capabilities.
Oversee ongoing Salesforce development, including custom objects, flows, Apex, triggers, and Lightning components.
Manage, mentor, and support developers and administrators (onshore and offshore).
Partner with cross‑functional teams to integrate Salesforce with enterprise systems and data platforms.
Support incident management, release management, and performance monitoring.
Ensure data integrity, platform governance, and compliance with security and privacy standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
Stay current on Salesforce releases and product roadmap to guide platform strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of Salesforce experience, including 3+ years in an Architect or Technical Lead role.
Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, development lifecycle, and best practices.
Expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder).
Experience designing complex integrations using APIs, middleware (e.g., MuleSoft), and data transformation tools.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce security models, sharing rules, and data architecture.
Required Salesforce certifications: Application Architect or System Architect (CTA preferred).
Experience working in Agile environments (Jira, Azure DevOps).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
Required Skills
Experience with Salesforce architecture and development lifecycle.
Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce security models and data architecture.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Revenue Cloud (especially CPQ), Field Service Lightning, Experience Cloud, or Certinia.
Industry experience in utilities, field service, or asset‑intensive operations.
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Copado, Gearset, Git).
Knowledge of data governance and master data management.
Prior consulting or enterprise transformation experience.
