Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 dependent on demonstrable experience

Role Description:

We are seeking a Senior Tactical CTI Analyst with demonstrable experience in Malware Analysis to deliver a wide range of intelligence products to a portfolio of UK-based and international customers across multiple sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow our intelligence capability alongside other highly skilled threat operations consultants.

The ideal candidate will be able to flourish in an environment of relative uncertainty, given the agile nature in which some of our projects are conceptualised, scoped and delivered. They should be passionate about cybersecurity and capable of engaging with team members and clients, from junior members up to Executive/Board level. They will be comfortable occasionally travelling overseas, working closely with foreign partners to explore the art of the possible, in order to scope, develop and deliver their required cyber security capabilities.

As a Senior Tactical CTI analyst you will play a vital role in supporting strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence products, as well as bringing your own ideas and experience to the wider threat operations team.

Key Responsibilities: 

Malware Analysis: Conduct static and dynamic analysis of previously unseen and advanced malware samples.
CTI as a Service: Conduct ad-hoc analysis in response to tickets from our CTI customers.
Threat Actor Profiling: Supporting Operational CTI with the ongoing monitoring of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures associated with priority threat actors relevant to our customers.
Occasional overseas Travel: Travel overseas independently or as a team to deliver capacity building, training, and/or cyber threat intelligence products to foreign partners.
Threat Operations: Cooperating with CYSIAM’s wider Threat Operations team, sharing insights from projects to contribute to our independently curated cyber threat intelligence.

Required Skills and Experience:

Ability to conduct static and dynamic analysis of advanced APT malware samples.
Ability to independently scope and prepare CTI engagements.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to contextualise technical findings for a non-technical audience.
Strong report writing skills with the ability to be relevant, concise and clear.
Problem solving mindset with the ability to think laterally to reach a mutually satisfactory solution.
Able to influence, effectively communicate and manage competing stakeholder requirements.
Comfortable offering training and mentoring to non-native English speakers and other cultures.
Self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team, both in the UK and overseas.

The ideal candidate would operate at an equivalent experience level of the following qualifications; however, experience, aptitude and attitude are the main attributes we are looking for.

CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst (CRTIA)
GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM)

This role requires the successful candidate to be eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
