Senior Data Engineer | £600 per day Outside IR35 | 6 Month Contract

A PE-backed asset/wealth management firm managing multi-billion pounds in assets is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver a new Azure-based data warehouse.

The organisation is replacing a non-performant “data swamp” with a well-structured, governed platform built on Azure. You will lead the end-to-end architecture and take a hands-on role building a robust data platform from ingestion through to consumption.

Tech Environment:

Azure Data Lake Storage
Azure Synapse
Medallion Architecture
ETL / data ingestion pipelines
Dimensional modelling
Strong governance, security, and error handling

Ideal Experience:

Azure-based data platform architecture
End-to-end data warehouse design and delivery
Data governance and platform reliability
Asset management / wealth management / financial data environments

Key Information:

£600 per day Outside IR35
Hybrid – London (2 days per week)
6 month project
Start: End of March
One stage interview process

This role requires someone comfortable making architectural decisions across the full data stack rather than operating within a single silo. You will work closely with the CTO and help shape the foundations of the company’s modern data platform, with additional hires planned to support delivery.
