Finance Manager - Strategy & Investments

My client, an expanding global business, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager - Strategy & Investments to join their team in central London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and enjoys partnering closely with senior stakeholders.

You will support investment appraisal and business case development across a range of initiatives—spanning capex projects, M&A activities, contract tenders/renewals, and wider business development opportunities—while helping to drive a consistent approach to pricing on multi-country, multi-station deals.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager

• Build, review, and challenge investment appraisals and business cases (CapEx, bids, renewals)

• Ensure strong governance and readiness for Group-level approval

• Partner with European Commercial teams on multi-country deals

• Develop pricing models and assess profitability, risks, and assumptions

• Turn complex financials into clear, executive-ready insights

• Standardise pricing and commercial processes across regions

• Coordinate with finance teams across Europe to deliver to deadlines

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial finance, business partnering, or investment appraisal

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

• Strong track record in building and challenging business cases

• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience a plus

• Structured, analytical, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven

• Strong stakeholder influencing skills

• Clear communicator able to simplify complex finance topics
