Our GSW team is looking for an intellectually curious problem solver to join our team to help us continuously deliver strategic and data-driven solutions to our business unit partners and clients.

GSW’s goal for this internship is to provide a full view of what it is like to work in the healthcare communications field as part of a creative agency. During your time with the agency you will get exposed to all aspects of a projects lifecycle, from writing briefs to learning about compliance requirements, you will gain a basic understanding of what it takes to bring an array of marketing materials to life. As an Account Management intern you will gain a comprehensive understanding of our business while working on real client deliverables, receiving 1-on-1 mentorship from experienced advertising industry professionals, developing your professional skills to meet both day-to-day agency and client expectations, and more.

Responsibilities:

Serving as an active member of the account team, learning the fundamentals of account management, understanding what principled account management looks like, and how to confidently provide client service support
Contributing to roles that bring projects to completion effectively & efficiently cross-functionally, under the supervision of an account team member
Completing day-to-day tasks associated with running projects, including capturing internal and client feedback, assisting with collateral updates, writing meeting recaps, creating project briefs, updating status sheets, contributing to the management of project budgets and creation of timelines, organizing files on the agency server, daily administrative tasks, etc.
Collaborating successfully with all agency departments, ensuring teams are prepared for internal and external meetings, coordinating meetings, and follow-ups on outstanding items
Performing market analysis and research on competition and shares findings with the team
Collaborating with fellow interns to complete a special project and presenting to the executive leadership team
Seeking out increased opportunity for learning and exposure to aspects of the agency world that intrigue you most
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar
Past internship experience or project work in Communications or Advertising is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams), and email
Above-average attention to detail, effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage a workload consisting of several concurrent projects or tasks
Ability to stay organized, multi-task, and be proactive
Can collaborate well with internal team members
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
Strong interest in the marketing and advertising industry

Candidates must be a minimum of a Rising Junior and currently enrolled full time in Spring/Summer or Spring/Fall ’26 semesters.

The Commercial Summer Intern Program runs from May 18, 2026 to July 24, 2026 and all positions will work full time (up to 40 hours per week).

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $24-26 but may vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
