We are fundamentally reimagining how healthcare works in the U.S. by partnering with employers to redesign healthcare benefits using clear incentives and powerful, data-driven insights. Our approach guides employees to higher-quality, lower-cost care, creating a system that works better for everyone. Patients achieve better health outcomes, employers spend healthcare dollars more effectively, and physicians are rewarded for delivering exceptional care rather than performing more procedures.

Garner is one of the fastest-growing healthcare technology companies in the country. Our products are trusted by the most sophisticated employers and providers in the industry, and we are building a team of talented, mission-driven individuals who are motivated to make a meaningful impact on healthcare at scale.

About The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Data Analyst to join our Data team, to derive actionable insights across Product, Marketing, Talent, RevOps and other cross-functional teams. This role will report to our Director, Data Science & Analytics. This is a high-impact role that will be instrumental in helping stakeholders gain accurate insights faster, reduce reporting overhead, and build the foundation for long-term data excellence. You will play a key role in defining KPIs that provide strategic alignment for the company and work on exciting projects like population health testing and impact evaluation to drive better long-term health outcomes for the country.

Where You Will Work

This role will be based in our New York City office (in the Financial District). You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What You Will Do

Build, own and manage key KPIs and dashboards, ensuring they are accurate, consistent, and governed, including end to end management of the lifecycle of an analytics project
Be a thought partner on how to measure success across all aspects of Garner’s products
Create scalable and maintainable data pipelines in collaboration with the data engineering team
Develop a deep understanding of your analytical domain in order to independently drive and produce meaningful insights
Identify gaps in current reporting coverage and proactively develop new dashboards and insights
Maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve existing dashboards to meet evolving business needs
Ensure consistent and reliable metrics definitions across teams
Advocate for best practices in data visualization, documentation, and stakeholder communication

The Ideal Candidate Has

3+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or a similar data-centric role
Proven experience building and maintaining dashboards in tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets
Ability to work cross-functionally and translate ambiguous business questions into data-driven solutions
Comfortable working independently and owning reporting projects end to end
Attention to detail with a mindset for automation and scalability
Familiarity with Google Sheets and a strong understanding of its limitations and strengths
Bonus: Experience with dbt, Snowflake, or data engineering workflows
A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company in a transformative role, helping shape the future of healthcare.
