Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js/AWS)

£90,000 + Bonus + Package

London (Soho) – Remote Friendly (Once a month in the Soho office – Must be UK based)

SwitchTT are partnered with a global leader in live entertainment an organisation managing over 70 of the world’s most famous venues across the UK, US, and Europe. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their "Identity" squad, the team responsible for the authentication and customer account platform that underpins their entire international digital estate.

Following a successful global rollout, the team is now entering a high-growth phase focused on enhancing security, scaling for international expansion, and enabling new commercial propositions. As the Senior Backend Engineer you will be a key driver in shaping the next phase of the identity capability, ensuring the platform remains resilient and scalable as the business grows. This is a role for someone who values ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning.

Senior Backend Engineer Requirements:

5+ years of software engineering experience working within high-scale, product-led environments.
Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and strong experience with Node.js.
Cloud Native Specialist: Deep knowledge of AWS, particularly serverless technologies (Lambda, DynamoDB) and event-based services.
Security Mindset: A solid understanding of security principles and best practices in software development.
Collaborative: Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to solving problems.

Technical Environment:

TypeScript, Node.js, AWS (Serverless), DynamoDB, Cloudflare, GitHub, RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
