Looking for a Level 2 Network Engineer to provide advanced support for enterprise network operations. This role focuses on managing L2/L3 incidents, maintaining network stability, assisting with configuration changes, and supporting infrastructure upgrades.

Responsibilities

Provide L2 support for escalated network issues (LAN/WAN/WLAN)
Troubleshoot routing, switching, and firewall-related incidents
Perform configuration updates on routers, switches, and firewalls
Monitor network performance and respond to alerts
Support VPN configurations, ACL changes, and security policies
Coordinate with ISPs/vendors for circuit-related issues
Assist with network migrations, upgrades, and deployments
Maintain accurate network documentation and topology diagrams
Conduct routine network health checks and capacity monitoring

Required Skills

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Aruba switches and routers
Solid firewall knowledge (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA)
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix)
Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN technologies
Strong troubleshooting and analysis abilities

Preferred Skills

Certifications like CCNA/CCNP (Routing & Switching or Security)
Experience with SD-WAN solutions
Exposure to cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
Basic scripting (Python/Bash) for automation

Soft Skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Good documentation and time-management skills
Ability to work under pressure during outages
