Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist
Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week in Guelph (1 Stone Rd W)
Overview:
Join the Ontario Public Sector to support Bill 5 initiatives and other government digital services by ensuring high-quality software delivery. The QA Specialist will plan, develop, and execute manual and automated testing strategies across Salesforce, web, and enterprise systems, including accessibility, vulnerability, and user acceptance testing.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
8+ years of QA analysis experience.
Experience developing test cases, scripts, scenarios, and data requirements for manual testing.
1–2 years Salesforce Public Sector Foundation (License & Permit) testing experience.
Hands-on Salesforce UI and backend testing, including iterative analysis and UAT.
Knowledge of Ontario Digital Service Standard, Service Design Playbook, and Digital First Assessment delivery approach.
Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visio, Project, and Miro.
Ability to lead and coordinate testing teams and conduct knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities:
Advise on testing strategy, tools, and resource requirements.
Develop test plans, test scripts, and test data; execute tests across GUI and non-GUI environments.
Conduct functional, non-functional, integration, regression, unit, accessibility (AODA), and vulnerability testing.
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and collaborate with IT leads, project teams, and stakeholders.
Document defects, track resolutions, and report progress to project leads and management.
Ensure knowledge transfer of all deliverables, artefacts, and documentation to Ministry staff.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with at least one programming language.
Knowledge of information management, object-oriented testing, and digital product development.
Familiarity with automated testing tools, CASE tools, and data query tools.
