Title: Data Engineer – Lead

Location: Mississauga, ON

Duration: 12 Months

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to support a large-scale migration of reporting and data engineering workloads from SAS to Snowflake. This role will drive cloud data transformation initiatives, design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensure data quality, governance, and performance in a modern Snowflake environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead data migration strategies from legacy/on-prem to cloud

• Build and optimize complex SQL, Snowflake stored procedures & DBT transformations

• Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and modern frameworks

• Implement CI/CD, data observability, monitoring, and access controls

• Collaborate with Architects and BI teams to enable self-service analytics

Required Skills:

Snowflake (Tasks, Stored Procedures, DBT, Access Management, Data Quality)

Advanced SQL & Python

AWS/Azure/GCP experience

ETL tools (Airflow, Talend, DBT)

Experience supporting Tableau or BI platforms

Insurance domain knowledge is a strong asset.
