Flexible Working

We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the MacPherson THz Group within the Department of Physics at the University of Warwick.

We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to undertake research in applying THz sensing to skin evaluation. This will involve both cutting edge research in my THz lab as well as identifying and approaching companies who may be interested to collaborate with us.

About You

This position requires someone with expertise in THz data acquisition and analysis and an interest in Robotics. They need to have strong programming skills with high attention to details such that they can develop a user interface for a new THz probe that is in development.

They will need to understand the physics of interactions of THz light with skin and be able to devise equation to extract optical parameters from real THz data. They will need to have experience controlling instrumentation through python and ideally also ROS 1/ROS2. They also need to be interested in investigating applications of THz sensing to skin evaluation and have strong communication skills.

A UG degree in Physics or similar is required.

For further information about what we are looking for please see the person specification section of the attached job description.

For details on the experience and skills required, please refer to the job description attached as a PDF below.
