On our 21-month apprenticeship programme you will learn the skills to become a successful Cyber Security Analyst with a fantastic range of future career options ahead of you. With the current levels of advancement in technology, there could not be a more exciting time to join us and following successful completion of your apprenticeship you will be offered a permanent role, with one of the best rental equipment providers in the industry.

This role will be primarily based within our central support office, with potential travel to wider business locations, whilst also working remotely on occasions. You will learn to:

Become a key member of the security team, supporting day-to-day security operations by monitoring XDR & SIEM platforms
Maintain our security baseline through routine checks, developing the ability to report findings
Triage and document alerts/incidents and escalate appropriately
Assist investigations by gathering evidence, analysing logs/artefacts, and supporting containment/recovery actions
Verify vulnerabilities and help prioritise remediation based on risk and context
Help plan remediation actions with IT teams and track progress/evidence of fix
Plan, execute, and report on phishing simulations and related awareness activity
Support detection engineering and automation/scripting to improve SOC efficiency and coverage
Engage with colleagues from across multiple areas of the organisation, expanding your team working and communication skills
Manage a varied workday in a fast-paced operational environment, learning to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

We’ll provide you with a comprehensive company induction, role-specific training, and apprenticeship support. You will become a part of a larger apprentice cohort where you will be able to form lifelong relationships and engage in a wider support network.

Apprenticeship Training

You will be completing a level 4 Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship Standard. This will be delivered using a combination of.

Workplace experience to gain practical skills
Guidance and training from an experienced workplace mentor & a range of colleagues
Industry recognised training leading to an apprenticeship qualification. This is delivered remotely with the support of a skills coach to ensure successful completion
Inclusion in relevant Sunbelt Rentals training sessions to develop your professional skills. This may require some travel to other business locations

At least five GCSEs or equivalent at Grade 4 or above including Maths and English
Additional qualifications at A Level (grades A-C), BTEC level 3 (Must include an IT-related subject), or a prior Level 3 Apprenticeship (or significant relevant work experience) in an IT-related subject area are essential for this role
A demonstrable interest in cyber security would be ideal
The confidence and ability to commute effectively to other business locations if needed
This role will require the successful candidate to complete a DBS check at offer stage due to the nature of the role
