The Role

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong data architecture and integration experience to support the review and improvement of client data environments.

The role involves assessing existing data platforms, data flows and system integrations, helping ensure that data is structured, mapped and integrated effectively across multiple systems.

You will work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to analyse data environments, identify improvements and implement scalable data solutions.

The role is hybrid, with remote working as standard and occasional on-site work in Kent depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Review and assess existing data architectures and data platforms
Analyse data flows, integrations and system dependencies
Review and validate data mapping across systems and applications
Design and implement data pipelines and data integration solutions
Support development of data models and structured data platforms
Ensure data structures support operational and reporting requirements
Identify opportunities to improve data quality, consistency and governance
Support integration between enterprise systems, cloud platforms and APIs
Work collaboratively with delivery teams and stakeholders
Produce technical documentation and data architecture recommendations

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience in data engineering, data architecture or data integration roles
Experience reviewing data architecture across multiple systems
Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation and integration
Experience building or maintaining ETL / ELT data pipelines
Strong SQL and data modelling skills
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
Experience integrating enterprise systems and APIs
Ability to analyse systems and take a holistic view of organisational data architecture
Comfortable working in project delivery environments

Data transformation and orchestration tools
