Job Title: Jr. Systems Administrator
Location: Onsite (San Diego, CA 92130)
About the Role:
Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the Jr. Systems Administrator supports the firm’s IT infrastructure, including on‑premises and cloud-based systems. This role assists with the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of network, server, endpoint, and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring system reliability, security, and availability in a fast‑paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in administering and maintaining LAN, WAN, and cloud-connected network environments, including servers, workstations, and virtual infrastructure
Monitor system performance, availability, and security; review system, network, and application logs; and respond to alerts and incidents
Perform routine system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management for hardware and software
Support Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
Assist with identity and access management, user provisioning, MFA enforcement, and permission controls
Support endpoint management, including device setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for Windows and mobile devices
Perform and verify data backups, assist with disaster recovery testing, and support business continuity efforts
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and system issues; coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
Configure, monitor, and maintain email security, antivirus/endpoint protection, and basic cybersecurity controls
Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to non‑technical end users, including attorneys and staff
Assist with IT projects, documentation, and process improvements as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
2–4 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or junior systems administration
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Windows-based environments
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
Familiarity with basic security concepts such as MFA, endpoint protection, phishing awareness, and access controls
Experience supporting professional services or legal firm operations is a plus
Exposure to virtualization, cloud services, or endpoint management tools is a plus
Technical certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft fundamentals) are a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset
Highly dependable, trustworthy, and professional with strong attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly: $32/hour - $40/hour
