Data Modeller

Location: Southwest England

Contract: 6 months initially

Rate: £600–£650 per day (Inside IR35)

We’re currently supporting a leading financial services client in their search for an experienced Data Modeller to join their Data Architecture, Platform & Engineering team on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping how the organisation understands and leverages its data, working within agile sprint teams to deliver high-impact data solutions.

The Role

You’ll work closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Translate business requirements into scalable data structures
Collaborate with sprint teams, providing modelling input throughout delivery
Produce low-level design documentation, DDL, and target models
Ensure alignment with data governance and regulatory requirements

Skills & Experience

Strong experience with data modelling tools (Erwin DM preferred)
Solid SQL skills, ideally with Snowflake on AWS
Experience reviewing SQL from engineering teams
Familiarity with Jira and agile delivery environments
Background in financial services is highly desirable
