Job Specifications
ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED**
Why This Role?
At D2, you're not just writing code — you're solving real problems that matter. As a Software Developer supporting our Intelligence community customer, you'll work on a sophisticated geospatial enterprise environment where your ideas are heard, your skills are challenged, and your contributions have genuine impact.
You'll be part of a collaborative Agile team with the autonomy to do your best work, the tools to do it right, and a mission worth showing up for every day.
What You'll Be Doing
Building and shipping software — designing, developing, testing, and deploying custom solutions across enterprise environments
Working in a modern DevSecOps pipeline — using GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and more
Collaborating in SAFe/Scrum teams — sprint planning, story pointing, standups, and iterating fast
Writing clean, testable code — with automated unit and integration tests to back it up
Solving interesting infrastructure problems — from on-prem deployments to containerized workloads on OpenShift
Influencing the process — recommending improvements, contributing across the full SDLC, and helping the team continuously get better
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
Bachelor's Degree in CS, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience
5+ years of software development experience
Proficiency in at least one language (Python, Java, React, etc.) with curiosity to learn others
Hands-on experience with containers — Docker, Kubernetes
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus)
Experience with SQL databases
Solid grasp of DevSecOps principles
Day-to-day comfort with Jira and Confluence
Experience deploying to on-prem / data center environments
Active TS/SCI clearance + eligibility for a CI polygraph
Nice-to-Haves (don't count yourself out if you're missing these):
Experience with RedHat OpenShift Container Platform
ElasticSearch knowledge
Front-end skills (HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript)
Infrastructure-as-code experience (Helm, Terraform)
The Team & How You'll Work
You'll operate within an Agile/SAFe environment guided by a Scrum Master, working closely with a small, tight-knit team. Expect regular sprint ceremonies, collaborative problem-solving, and a culture where clear communication is as valued as technical skill.
