Job Description
Our client, a leading global technology company, is seeking a Marketing Specialist (Performance & Growth) to support high-impact, full-funnel media and marketing initiatives. This is a contract opportunity based in San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite (Tuesday–Thursday) and Monday/Friday remote.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a data-driven, fast-paced environment and has deep experience in performance marketing, app and subscription growth, and direct response campaigns. You will act as a key individual contributor driving campaigns end-to-end while partnering closely with internal teams, agencies, and stakeholders.
Pay: $85-90/hr based on experience
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – Tues–Thurs onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard PST hours
Duration: Contract through end of November 2026
Key Responsibilities
• Own and drive full-funnel marketing campaigns from strategy through execution, including budget management, performance tracking, and optimization
• Develop and execute performance marketing and growth strategies focused on app and subscription acquisition, engagement, and retention
• Build and manage comprehensive promotion plans across paid, owned, and earned channels, including social, digital media, and on/off-platform campaigns
• Analyze campaign performance and customer data to uncover insights, optimize targeting, and identify new growth opportunities
• Partner cross-functionally with growth, content, design, sales, and product teams to align on strategy and execution
• Manage and collaborate with external media agencies, ensuring high-quality output, prioritization, and performance against KPIs
• Drive media planning and execution, including large-scale and complex campaigns across multiple channels
• Oversee development and distribution of social content, influencer/creator programs, and employee/leadership activation strategies
• Track and report on campaign ROI, pipeline impact, and revenue metrics using CRM and analytics tools
• Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams and successful delivery of initiatives
• Support development of innovative marketing programs, sponsorships, and virtual/physical experiences
Qualifications
• Proven experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or full-funnel media roles
• Strong expertise in app and subscription growth, direct response campaigns, and data-driven marketing
• Experience managing media agencies and cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Experience with social media, SEO, influencer marketing, and digital campaign execution
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with CRM systems and campaign performance tracking tools
