The Senior Analyst - Cargo Pricing & Inventory is responsible for the tactical and strategic management of cargo pricing, inventory coordination, and market performance working in close partnership with cargo stakeholders (Sales/Inventory Management/DoD/Product/Trucking). Develops competitive analyses and tactical action plans. Regularly monitors market performance versus plan and take necessary actions to ensure plan revenues are achieved. An intensive communication and collaboration with stations is required for gaining the market intelligence and acting accordingly in the timely manner. This position initiates appropriate actions to maximize revenue, maintain/increase market share as well as measures the performance of each market and explains variances to the commercial teams. The position requires the ability to quickly extract/analyze data, summarize results/conclusions, and effectively present findings. Individual must practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational and procedures.
This position will be based in London, United Kingdom, and report directly to EMEAI Manager, Cargo Revenue Management. Domestic and international travel may be required. Must possess legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
Primary Responsibilities Include
Responsible for revenue optimization of more strategic markets through application of effective pricing and inventory segmentation strategies.
Influence RM strategies and drive optimal Delta Cargo decisions with peers and team leaders.
Initiates development, analysis and implementation of strategies within Commercial/Sales organization, as well as, coordination with Operations and Customer organization to maximize revenue and margin.
Review pricing requests from sales team and provide quoting using cargo tools to benchmark customer, cost and provide appropriate rates based on overarching cargo strategies.
Collaboration with cross-functional cargo teams to bridge flight inventory positioning from planning to operations.
Review and communicate segment/POS performance to provide insight on flight, customer and products.
Proactively evaluates forward traffic needs and competitive actions to adjust pricing rate strategies.
Executes strategic interline vision through contract management and detailed processes with interline partners.
Assist team members on RM tools and processes.
Participate in internal RM projects and initiatives.
Extract data, create and summarize analysis via PowerPoint for internal RM reviews.
Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Background in several functional, operational areas, divisional practices and application of corporate related policy.

Manages within the markets and identifies interdependencies from other departments and divisions.
Must possess experience with IATA Clearing House (ICH) standards. Experience with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cargo Accounting, Collections, or related field is a plus.
Experience with one or more of the following programs is strongly preferred: Hyperion/Brio, Cognos, Tableau, and/or SQL Must be able to balance multiple competing priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment, be comfortable in front of senior level executives and have exceptional presentation, oral and written skills.
Familiarity with Cargo pricing, inventory management functions and mathematical concepts
Must possess analytical thinking, strong negotiation skills, and solid decision-making abilities.
