Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision:
• Define and articulate a clear product roadmap for digital initiatives aligned with the broader business strategy.
• Leverage industry trends and customer insights to set long-term product goals in an investment banking context.
Agile Product Management:
• Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and marketing units, ensuring clear communication of product vision and priorities.
• Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business value and customer impact.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Investment Banking Expertise:
• Apply deep knowledge of investment banking processes to ensure digital solutions meet the unique operational and regulatory needs of the business.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex banking requirements into actionable product features.
Marketing & Go-to-Market Strategy:
• Work closely with marketing teams to craft compelling product positioning, messaging, and launch strategies.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and user feedback to refine the product offering and drive user engagement.
• Develop strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and growth through digital channels.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and quality assurance teams to deliver a seamless product experience.
• Engage with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and continuously improve the product based on evolving market demands.
Performance & Analytics:
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and inform future enhancements.
• Use data-driven insights to iterate on product features and optimize the customer experience.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Investment Banking Experience:
• Demonstrated background working in investment banking or within a financial services environment, with a deep understanding of the industry’s operational challenges and regulatory requirements.
• Product Ownership in Digital Engineering:
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role managing digital products from conception to launch.
• Strong grasp of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience working in agile teams.
Technical Acumen:
• Solid understanding of technology trends, software development processes, and digital engineering principles.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Marketing Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of digital marketing strategies, customer journey mapping, and product positioning.
• Experience working alongside marketing teams to design and execute go-to-market strategies that drive product adoption and revenue growth.
Analytical & Communication Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Certification in agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives within a financial institution.
