L3 Network Engineer – Security Proxy, Juniper, Cisco
Location: London Heathrow Waterside ( 5 days Onsite)
12 Months Contract with extension

Experience: 6-10+ years
Job Responsibilities:
Provide L3-level support, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex network issues.
Design, implement, and optimize network security solutions using security proxies, Juniper, and Cisco.
Lead incident resolution and problem management efforts, coordinating with vendors as needed.
Configure and maintain firewalls, security appliances, and access control policies.
Develop and execute network automation strategies for efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate with architects and project teams on network upgrades and expansions.
Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for network infrastructure.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to L2 engineers.

Technical Skills:
Security Proxy: Blue Coat, Zscaler, or equivalent, deep understanding of SSL decryption and policy enforcement.
Juniper: Advanced routing (BGP, OSPF, ISIS), firewall rules, security policies, IDS/IPS.
Cisco: Enterprise switching (Nexus, Catalyst), routers, ASA/FTD firewalls, SD-WAN.
Automation & Scripting: Python, Ansible, Terraform (preferred).
Cloud Networking: Azure, AWS, or GCP networking and security concepts.
Load Balancing: F5, Citrix NetScaler (preferred).
SIEM & Security Tools: Splunk, Palo Alto Cortex, or similar.

Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and handle high-priority incidents.

Senior Network Engineer 12 months £399 Inside IR35 Onsite and potential travel Glasgow and UK Senior Network Engineer needed for our Banking Client in Glasgow, though the role will require occasional travel to sites across the UK. . The role requires a strong Senior Network Engineer with significant demonstrable Network & Voice experience along with detailed knowledge in TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network monitoring tools. Candidates will ideally have Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching (CCNP Routing & Switching) or equivalent level experience. Candidates must engage via an FCSA accredited Umbrella Company, the maximum rate is £399 per day to Umbrella, and the role is hybrid with some time from home and some time working/visiting branches and offices to support agreed activities. You will be part of a team supporting a comprehensive programme in place to reduce / remove legacy / currency debt and consolidate the Banks network and voice platforms.
