Job description:
Barclays is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Corporate Banking division in Knutsford. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team responsible for driving the development and management of Virtual Account Management (VAM) solutions, enabling corporate clients to efficiently manage their banking needs.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, technology teams, and senior management to deliver key insights and innovative solutions that enhance client experience and operational efficiency in the Virtual Account Management space.
Key Responsibilities:
• Business Analysis:
Analyze and document business requirements from key stakeholders in the corporate banking sector. Define and prioritize requirements related to Virtual Account Management services, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs.
• Process Improvement:
Conduct process mapping, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements. Develop use cases and user stories that translate business needs into actionable technical requirements for the development team.
• Solution Design and Delivery:
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the effective design and delivery of VAM solutions. Support testing and implementation, ensuring that the solutions meet quality and performance standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the bridge between business users, technology teams, and other stakeholders. Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to capture feedback, understand challenges, and manage expectations.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
Use data analytics to measure the effectiveness of VAM systems. Produce regular reports and dashboards to highlight key performance metrics and identify areas for further optimization.
• Regulatory and Compliance Support:
Ensure that all virtual account management activities comply with relevant regulatory and security standards, working closely with legal and compliance teams to adhere to industry requirements.
• Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in corporate banking and Virtual Account Management. Contribute to ongoing improvements in the VAM service offerings.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Experience:
o 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
o Proven experience in working on Virtual Account Management, Payments, or similar corporate banking products is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of banking systems, payments infrastructure, and Virtual Account Management solutions.
o Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
o Experience with process mapping, business process modeling, and creating functional specifications.
• Analytical Skills:
o Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
o Ability to perform detailed requirement analysis, document use cases, and user stories.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
o Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams across the organization and manage stakeholder expectations.
Education:
o A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
o Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, Agile) would be advantageous.
Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with financial regulations, such as PSD2 and GDPR.
• Experience in working with APIs or system integration in a banking environment.
• Understanding of cloud-based solutions and their application in banking and payments.

- My client is looking for an experienced Software and Systems Manual Test Engineer to support them with a crucial implementation and integration project on a contract basis. This will initially be for four months, with the possible view to extend. You will be sitting within an existing, experienced test team but will specifically work on this piece of work along side a Test Lead. A new central message exchange system and data integration platform will be implemented, then integrated across the business which will require software and systems testing along the path of the project and through to the end of the project. The final stage of the project with be the testing of the product. The company are predominantly a manual testing house; however, some experience of automation is required as some automation may be introduced at times. The databases are all Oracle and SQL based so experience of working on both is required and DevOps is in place to manage the project work. The Test Team currently work with DSDM, so experience of working with Agile is essential and currently working to two weekly sprints. Please note, you would be required to attend the office in Horley, Surrey 1-2 times a week so it’s imperative you can travel here consistently. Please do not apply if this location isn't suitable.
