About the Opportunity:
NRL is partnering with a forward-thinking and established company in search of a Principal Civil and Structural Engineer to join their team. What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead and manage engineering projects: Take ownership of civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring successful and timely completion. You will oversee the coordination of multiple teams, ensuring quality standards, budgets, and timelines are met.
Provide technical expertise and leadership: Offer valuable technical guidance on complex engineering challenges, helping to resolve design and implementation issues, ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.
Oversee design and development: Lead the creation of structural plans, blueprints, and specifications, ensuring designs are robust, safe, and aligned with industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure solutions align with project goals and requirements, fostering effective collaboration across teams.
Conduct site visits and inspections: Regularly assess project sites to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and address any emerging issues, maintaining the highest level of quality and safety at all times.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulations: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards, best practices, and innovations, ensuring your team and projects remain at the forefront of engineering excellence.
What You Could Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred), with a proven track record of success in civil and structural engineering.
Extensive experience in managing civil and structural engineering projects, with a strong background in overseeing large, complex projects and delivering them on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and provide clear direction and technical advice.
Problem-solving ability: You’ll need to be a strong critical thinker with the ability to identify complex engineering issues and develop effective solutions, making sound decisions in challenging situations.
A proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet or exceed project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Job Title: Contract Deployment Engineer Duration: Initial 6 month contract - Outside IR35 Location: Remote (UK - based), with occasional national and international travel required Client: IT Consulting Firm Job Description We are seeking a skilled Deployment Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes, Linux systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure to join our clients team on an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension. This role is primarily remote, but it will require some national and international travel to support deployment and project activities. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including controllers, schedulers, kubelets, deployments, and stateful sets. Utilize Kubernetes tools (kubectl, k9s) for resource navigation and ensure extensibility through Custom Resources, CNI, and CSI. Manage and troubleshoot IAM roles, policies, and permissions. Configure and troubleshoot switching, VLANs, IP addressing, and routing protocols. Analyze network traffic and logs using tools like tcpdump, dig, and netstat. Set up Linux networking interfaces, routes, and OOB interfaces (serial consoles). Deploy and manage Service Mesh solutions and understand Envoy Proxy functionality. Handle SSL certificate management, including creation, renewal, and troubleshooting using openssl CLI. Maintain deep knowledge of Linux, including OS management, boot processes, system administration (systemd, journalctl), and containerization. Write and troubleshoot Bash or Python scripts for automation and process optimization. Work with ILO, OOB interfaces, and physical cabling as needed for hardware support.
