GBP35,000 : GBP42 ,00 per annum + pension, life insurance.

Roles And Responsibilities

Lead the development of new door designs, features, and hardware to enhance product offerings.
Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and regulatory changes influencing product innovation.
Drive value:engineering initiatives to optimise manufacturing efficiency and profitability while maintaining product function and quality.
Address product development needs arising from customer complaints, procurement requirements, or quality concerns.
Ensure all development projects follow the structured Innovation and Development process and align with IQC priorities.
Produce detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks to support design and manufacturing processes.
Document project progress, design iterations, and technical specifications in accordance with business protocols

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in product development, engineering design, or innovation within a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards relevant to door and hardware development is an advantage.
Experience in value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives is desirable.
Strong technical and engineering knowledge related to product design and development.
Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and technical drawing creation.
Analytical and problem:solving skills to develop innovative and practical solutions.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and market demands in the industry.
Project management skills to manage multiple development projects effectively.
