Are you an experienced life sciences lawyer with a passion for structure, precision, and legal drafting? This unique 6-month fixed-term contract offers the opportunity to lead on the creation of a comprehensive suite of life sciences precedent documents, with a focus on IP, patents, and complex licensing arrangements. It’s a rare chance to shape best practice and add real value in a specialist area.

Why Apply?

Lead on shaping legal best practice – Develop a comprehensive suite of precedents for high-value licensing and collaboration agreements.
Flexibility and work-life balance – Hybrid working model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) with excellent benefits.
Attractive six-figure salary – Competitive six-figure salary for a focused, short-term engagement.

About the Role
This project-focused FTC role centres on the development and standardisation of precedent documents for life sciences transactions, particularly those involving patents and know-how licensing. You’ll work closely with partners, fee earners, and specialists across the firm to create a consistent, market-leading suite of agreements. While contract drafting and annotation are the primary focus, you’ll also contribute to legal training related to these documents.

Key Responsibilities
Draft and develop a suite of life sciences licensing and collaboration precedents.
Standardise non-licensing precedents across R&D, clinical trials, manufacturing, and distribution agreements.
Work collaboratively with legal experts in data protection, competition law, trademarks, and tax to refine documentation.
Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all agreements, aligning with market practice.
Provide training on legal developments affecting the document suite.

Who Would Suit This Role?
This position is ideal for a qualified solicitor (6+ PQE) with strong experience in IP and life sciences transactions. You’ll have a background in non-contentious commercial agreements, particularly in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or medtech. You’ll be detail-oriented, organised, and confident working across teams. Experience with data privacy or competition law in a life sciences context is a plus.

If you're looking for a high-impact, short-term role where your expertise will shape best practices in life sciences commercialisation, this is an excellent opportunity. With an attractive six-figure salary and a dynamic, forward-thinking environment, apply now to join a firm that values knowledge, collaboration, and innovation.
