Where business needs allow, this role may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working, therefore you must consider if any of the above locations are within a reasonable travelling distance. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business (i.e., detached duty) or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The role is varied as you will be expected to work within relevant frameworks in order to contribute to all stages of the procurement process, from helping to gather requirements from across the business in line with market research, through to the handing over of the contract to contract and supplier management.
In the contract management role, you will be expected to undertake effective contract management activity in support of one (or more) of the organisation’s large strategic contracts. The role includes supporting activity relating to: mobilising contracts, managing the delivery and performance of the contract, carrying out day to day contract changes, managing risk within the contract and managing contract transition and exit.
You will work as part of a larger team, but will be expected to be able to prioritise and manage your own workload to deliver to deadlines and know when to seek support in order to balance both operationally urgent and important tasks.

As a Commercial Associate Practitioner, your responsibilities may include the following areas:
Contract Management
Effective management of our UK and International Contracts
Acting as the trusted adviser for the contracts to suppliers, customers, and team members
Assist in running and supervising these crucial service contracts in accordance with the Contract Management Plan and ensuring compliance to the appropriate processes and operating procedures
This role will provide you with an opportunity to gain a wider range of experience in contract management from contract amendments, administration, performance management, customer engagement and exit planning whilst also becoming part of the associated DIO Contact Management Teams
Sourcing
Support the procurement and competitive tendering of service contracts for a large and varied range of projects from capital works, facilities management to the acquisition and disposal of land
Assist in developing sourcing strategies in partnership with project and customers in line with current legislation and Government/MOD policy and procedures
