Job Specifications

CMC are currently looking for and experience Software engineer specialising with C++ to support our defence client on a console=based application development project.

6-12 Month Contract - Hybrid (3 days on site) - South East (Essex)

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain console-based applications in C++
Implement basic UI-style logic (Menus, inputs, outputs) without graphical frameworks
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define software functionality and requirements
Conduct unit testing and debugging of applications
Ensure code quality, documentation, and compliance with internal standards

Required skills & Experience:
Strong C++ development background
Experience building console applications or lightweight I systems
Familiarity with Windows development environments and standard libraries
Good debugging and problem solving skills

Active SC Clearance or held within the last 12 Months is mandatory due to the nature of the project
