IT Business Analyst – Oil & Gas | Energy Trading
Location: Central London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Type: Contract

We’re partnering with a leading oil & gas client to find a highly capable IT Business Analyst who thrives at the intersection of business needs and technology. This is a hybrid role based in central London, requiring 3 days per week onsite. You’ll be key to delivering high-impact solutions through expert requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, process modeling, and Agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Capture and translate business needs into technical requirements.
Model processes, data flows, and system interactions to identify improvement opportunities.
Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead stakeholder workshops and Agile ceremonies.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment and delivery.
Define and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
Document systems, processes, and configurations using industry-standard tools.

Skills & Experience:
Recent experience in Oil & Gas, Commodities, or Energy Trading (essential).
4–7 years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst.
Strong knowledge of Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Experience with systems engineering, process analysis, and data modelling.
Confident leading stakeholder engagement and large workshops.
