Job Specifications

A growing player in the renewable energy sector is looking for a Junior Investment Analyst to strengthen its Finance team. With ambitious goals to accelerate the energy transition, the company develops, builds, and operates large-scale infrastructure projects with a focus on onshore and offshore wind. You will be closely involved in the financial planning and valuation of these capital-intensive projects throughout their full lifecycle.

Your Role
Working hand-in-hand with project development teams in Wallonia and Flanders, you’ll act as the financial point of contact, ensuring business plans remain aligned with project reality. You will support investment decisions, challenge assumptions, and help drive project success through insightful analysis.

Key responsibilities include:
Updating and maintaining project business plans and financial models.
Supporting the preparation of investment cases and post-investment reviews.
Assisting with budget planning for projects in development and construction.
Collaborating with developers and regional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial input.
Contributing to pricing strategies (e.g. Power Purchase Agreements).
Monitoring financial KPIs and sector-specific assumptions.
Exploring and integrating financial support mechanisms and subsidy frameworks.

What We’re Looking For
A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis, project valuation, or audit.
Familiarity with project finance, ideally in a capital-intensive sector.
Strong Excel skills; basic programming knowledge (Python, VBA, R) is a plus.
A communicative and curious personality who enjoys asking questions and learning from technical teams.
Ability to work independently, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
FR-EN-DU (fluent)

What Makes This Role Unique
Strategic role in the financial core of renewable energy development.
Frequent interaction with developers and operational teams in a highly collaborative environment.
The opportunity to learn the technical side of energy and become an expert in project valuation.
Hybrid work environment: mainly based in Wavre, with weekly presence in Mechelen to ensure alignment with both development teams.
An SME-like atmosphere within a structured and future-focused organization.
