AI Engineer

Are you an AI Engineer ready to design and deploy secure, compliant AI systems in a cloud-first, regulated environment?

My client is expanding following a multi-million-pound investment and is seeking a skilled AI Engineer to lead the development of AI solutions, with a focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Large Language Models (LLMs), and responsible AI deployment

Please note: This role is fully office-based (5 days per week) for the first 12 weeks. A hybrid model will be available thereafter (3 days in office, 2 from home).

The Role

• Design AI solutions that meet strict governance and compliance standards
• Build and optimise RAG architectures and LLM integrations
• Implement LLM security (e.g. prompt injection prevention, data protection)
• Align solutions with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks
• Develop APIs, pipelines, and integrations within a .NET environment
• Support cloud-based deployment and MLOps practices
• Stay current with AI regulation, ethics, and security developments

About You
• Proven experience in AI/ML development and deployment
• Strong knowledge of RAG, vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, FAISS)
• Hands-on with LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Hugging Face) and secure AI practices
• Familiar with AI compliance, .NET systems, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Skilled in Python and/or C#, REST APIs, and CI/CD workflows

Desirable
• Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. healthcare, finance)
• Familiarity with AI ethics frameworks (e.g. EU AI Act, NIST)
• Knowledge of MLOps, AIOps, and observability tools
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, AI Governance)
