GIS Analyst / Developer | 3-Month Initial Contract (London - Hybrid Ideally)

Here at Burns Sheehan, we’re working with a fast-paced team in the data centre and energy space, who are looking for a GIS Analyst / Developer to deliver a focused, short-term project with long-term impact.

You’ll play a key role in setting up the GIS structure and building out location-based datasets that support strategic decision-making.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with 2–5 years of GIS experience who’s comfortable with both data entry and more advanced mapping and automation work. The role starts with getting the structure right – but moves quickly into value-added analysis and spatial data management.

The Role:

Set up and manage a structured ArcGIS environment (desktop + online)
Pin client and competitor sites, with automation via linked CSVs
Define radius zones for prime location analysis
Source and map capacity power requests/reservations from online data
Create a fibre network directory and map connectivity
Clean up and link GIS data to internal CRM systems
Work closely with internal stakeholders to align data with business needs

Candidate Profile:

Experience Level: 2–5 years in a GIS / Spatial Data role
Tools: ArcGIS Pro & ArcGIS Online or experience with Collector or Survey123
Data formats: Confident working across shapefiles, KML, GeoJSON, CSV, etc...
Bonus: Python (ArcPy), JavaScript, ModelBuilder, Dashboards, or any automation skills
Strong communicator, comfortable handling sensitive data (NDA required)
