For our client, one of the leading telecom providers in Belgium, we are currently looking for a Finops lead.

Description/Role:

As a FinOps Lead, you will drive cultural change by promoting financial accountability and transparency across the organization. Your mission will be to guide, connect, and empower teams in their data decisions to drive our data product strategy.

Responsibilities:
Drive cost transparency by implementing cost observability, monitoring, and reporting to inform different stakeholders at various levels.
Manage efficient and transparent cloud cost allocation.
Take a leading role in aligning with data architects, tech leads, and platform experts to identify and steer optimization initiatives.
Establish governance and accountability to promote best practices for cloud cost optimization, budgeting, and governance.
Provide training and awareness across teams to help them understand cloud cost models and their impact.
Perform analysis on cost abnormalities.
Foster collaboration between finance, data, and business teams to align cloud spending with organizational priorities.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a role involving the implementation of FinOps or cost transparency.
Ideally, a FinOps Certified Practitioner.
Good technical knowledge of Cloud Services (AWS, Snowflake).
Conceptual knowledge of AI, ML, and reporting.
Analytical reporting experience.
Excellent communication skills to build bridges across various teams and departments.
Energized by agile working methods.
Eager to learn continuously.

Must have skills:
Experience with AWS and Snowflake.
Strong understanding of cloud cost management and optimization.
Experience with SQL and Python.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English

Nice to have skills:
Knowledge of Azure.
FinOps Certified Practitioner certification.
Reporting and dashboard creation skills.
Fluent in Dutch
