Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Data-warehouse & reporting developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises.

In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

Development and maintenance on Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW).
Development and maintenance of the software – web or standalone – applications and the catalogue of reports related to the data warehouse.
Design ETL processes.
Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system.
DB performance analysis.
Elaboration of test programs.
Write technical documentation.

Requirements

University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 9 years.
Practical experience in a Data warehouse production environment and ability to ensure business continuity of Data warehouse.
At least 3 years of specific expertise in RDBMS ORACLE.
At least 3 years of specific expertise in SQL.
At least 3 years of specific expertise in Unix/Linux.
At least 3 years of experience in Java, Perl or Python.
In depth knowledge of source control tools such as Git.
In depth knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment with tools like Jenkins.
Hands-on experience with data warehouse concepts and ETLT tools.
Good knowledge of data processing, analytical analysis, reporting tools (especially BIRT).
Good knowledge of HTML/XHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS and JavaScript.
Excellent command of the English language.
