Kubernetes Platform Engineer
Up to £750/day Outside
Initial 6 months
Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite (non-negotiable)

Our client, a commodities trading firm, is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to manage and optimize a production on-prem Kubernetes infrastructure. This role will focus on maintaining and supporting the Kubernetes platform that hosts cloud-native applications for trading, operations, supply chain, and corporate functions.

Candidate Technical Skills / Role Requirements:
5+ years of experience running Kubernetes clusters in production on-premises.
Ability to build on-premises Kubernetes clusters from the ground up (highly available, DR-resilient, multi-site, etc.)
Can manage and maintain on-premises Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, networking, and storage in on-prem environments.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operating systems (Linux-based).
Extensive experience with Kubernetes management tools, particularly Rancher.
Proficiency with Kubernetes deployment tools and related technologies.
In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitOps).
Strong scripting skills in Python or similar languages.
Experience working in regulated environments.
