The Product Quality organization at Meta is responsible for quality improvements to enable great end-to-end experiences for people and businesses.The Product Quality organization is seeking QA Engineering Leads to test and assess product quality for the Meta products As a QA Engineering Lead, you will help shape the future of what we build here at Meta. You will enjoy solving quality challenges for products built with cutting edge and interoperable technology serving 3+ billion people worldwide. You will define test strategies, ensure product correctness for launches, and improve testing efficiency at scale.An ideal candidate will have a background in a technical field, with extensive test engineering experiences. They are a self-starter, detail-oriented, experienced to deal with ambiguity and have a passion for quality.
QA Engineer Lead Responsibilities:
Plan, develop and execute product quality strategies for Meta's products
Develop test strategies for business critical projects to ensure product correctness before launch
Manage a team of in-house and offshore testers to conduct black box testing
Spearhead initiatives that influences engineering organizations to build a quality-driven approach
Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalable solutions to prevent regressions and ensure reliability of products
Identify gaps and opportunities to improve quality
Define and implement QA processes to optimize and scale testing within the product
Establish and drive the adoption of quality metrics that help measure test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall quality of product
Assess non-functional (e.g. i18n, l10n, a11y) product quality in collaboration with other quality focused teams and provide key insights to product teams
Communicate with stakeholders at all levels to keep them informed of the quality program's progress and to obtain their buy-in on key decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience of industry standard test automation tools and automation frameworks
6+ years of quality Engineering and/or test engineering experience
Hands-on experience with planning, designing, executing tests and knowledge of performance and stress-testing
Experience implementing and maintaining quality test automation for both mobile and web applications
Experience managing black box testing with remote testers
Experience in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++ or equivalent coding language
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of industry standard test automation tools and automation frameworks
Knowledge of the how to use data to improve product quality
Experience with QA process and methodologies
Experience working across multiple cross functional engineering teams globally
Experience with ambiguity and having initiative to improve product quality coverage and effectiveness
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
Experience thriving in an ambiguous environment that demands constant self-prioritization
Experience in project management approaches, tools and phases of a project life cycle
Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
