Title: Mobile QA Engineer (iOS and Android)
Salary: £290 - £340 per day (outside IR35)
Start date: ASAP
Contract: 6 Months
Location: Remote (Within the UK)

Our client is looking for a Mobile QA Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance to join our fast-paced, Agile team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms. You'll work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and other QA Engineers to ensure flawless user experiences through rigorous testing and automation.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead testing efforts for mobile applications across iOS and Android devices
Conduct end-to-end testing including GraphQL and REST API testing
Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript
Leverage mobile automation frameworks like Maestro, Appium, Detox, or the most effective tool for the job
Work within CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools like Jira, Asana, and TestRail
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA practices and processes
Participate in Agile ceremonies and help drive sprint success
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of software QA experience, with a strong focus on mobile apps
ISTQB certification or equivalent
Solid understanding of mobile app functionality and user experience
Experience testing APIs (REST and GraphQL)
Proven track record with test automation (Playwright, TypeScript)
Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
Excellent communication skills in English
Familiarity with AWS and Agile development environments
A passion for quality and a mindset of continuous improvement
Nice to Have:
Experience with Docker, performance testing, or security testing
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns
