About Eclipse
At the recent COP 28, governments committed to tripling the world's installed renewable generation capacity by 2030. Meanwhile, trading and balancing markets are still adjusting to current installed capacity, with prices reaching record negative levels due to oversupply from these same renewable assets, making the business case for renewables challenging today.
Eclipse was founded on the belief that green and local energy storage will be critical to realizing these ambitions. Eclipse builds, owns, and operates utility scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (“BESS”). Our goal is to provide Transmission Systems Operators and Independent Power Producers with the flexibility required to rapidly integrate renewables into the mix, while maximizing profit generation through ML based real-time optimization of the battery in the traded electricity markets.
Founded by a team of experts in the power trading and power infrastructure fields. We use advanced technologies and data to improve battery optimization.

Role
As a Senior Project Developer, you will spearhead business development initiatives, playing a vital role in accelerating our growth and impact in the energy storage market. You will contribute to the identification and evaluation of new commercial opportunities, build relationships with industrial prospects, and negotiate with stakeholders to secure storage projects.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and qualify new BESS sites (stand-alone and co-located with industrial clients)
Launch and manage outreach campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.) to generate leads
Meet with industrials to understand their electrical processes, challenges, and potential for flexibility
Negotiate partnership and rental contracts with land owners and industrials
Liaise and coordinate different stakeholders (Elia, municipalities, engineering firms) to move project towards Ready-To-Build stage

Qualifications
Business Engineering or Engineering degree (Electromechanical, Energy, Electrical or related)
Strong interest in the energy sector and enthusiasm for the energy transition.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in both Dutch and English. Basic French is required
A driving license
