Job Title: Senior Test Engineer – SC Cleared or Eligible
Contract Rate: £425/day inside I35
Location: Hybrid – Remote / Leeds Hub (Yorkshire)
Security Clearance: SC Cleared or Eligible (UK residency for 5+ years required)
Contract Type: 6+ Months

Overview:
We’re hiring Senior Test Engineers to join a high-impact public sector project starting in June 2025. You'll provide technical leadership across multiple Agile teams, helping to build and maintain robust test frameworks for UI and APIs, while guiding junior testers and ensuring high-quality delivery in a secure environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and contribute to UI and API automation testing.
Develop and maintain test frameworks (Selenium, Java, Maven, Cypress/Playwright).
Perform API testing (manual with Postman/Insomnia; automated with Java Rest Assured).
Conduct performance testing using K6 or JMeter.
Drive CI/CD pipeline integration (Docker, Jenkins, GitLab).
Support accessibility testing and adherence to WCAG standards.
Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior Test Engineers.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps, and Architects in Agile teams.

Key Requirements:
Must be SC Cleared or eligible (UK residency for past 5 years is essential).
Proven experience leading testing efforts across multiple teams.
Comfortable working in a hybrid model (remote with occasional presence in Leeds).
Strong communication and documentation skills.
