Senior QA Engineer (E-Commerce / Remote)

Up to £340 per day

We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in software quality assurance, particularly in e-commerce environments (Magento 2). This role involves testing modern web applications and APIs, automating tests, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
This is a remote position, ideal for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Perform thorough manual and automated testing of web applications, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
Manage and track issues using tools such as Jira or Asana.
Document and organize test cases using TestRail or similar tools.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure performance, usability, and security standards are met.

Required Skills & Experience
6+ years in software quality assurance
Strong experience in e-commerce projects, ideally with Magento 2
Expertise in API testing (GraphQL, REST)
Hands-on with test automation frameworks, especially Playwright + TypeScript
Familiar with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Proficient in using Jira, Asana, and TestRail
Excellent written and spoken English communication
Experience working in Agile teams
Familiarity with AWS
A mindset geared toward continuous improvement
ISTQB or similar QA certifications

Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Docker (optional but valuable)
