Job Description
What will you be doing?
As a Project Engineer, you will be directly responsible for the end-to-end delivery of key vehicle infotainment components, including audio systems, antennas, infotainment units. You will take ownership from concept through launch—ensuring timely delivery, technical integrity, and seamless integration into the vehicle architecture.
Location: Coventry (Hybrid)
Your main responsibilities will be:
Own Full Lifecycle Delivery: Drive the development, testing, and release of assigned components from initial concept through to production launch.
Project Management & Progress Tracking: Lead schedules, milestones, and issue resolution activities to keep the project on track and aligned with program timelines.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders (SQA, Purchasing, Product Engineering, Manufacturing) to ensure technical and commercial readiness.
Validation Leadership: Develop and lead DFMEA and DVP plans. Manage validation activities including lab and in-vehicle testing to ensure robust and compliant designs.
Release and Configuration: Manage component release and change control using internal systems (e.g., 3DX, Teamcenter).
Technical Documentation: Define, manage, and maintain component-level requirements, interface specifications, and validation documentation.
Cost and Sourcing Support: Participate in sourcing reviews and cost optimization efforts alongside Purchasing and Finance teams.
Integration and Issue Resolution: Oversee integration activities across vehicle platforms, ensuring components operate reliably within the electrical architecture.
Design Review Participation: Contribute to technical reviews, support root-cause analysis, and drive informed decision-making.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
Strong background in automotive electrical/electronic systems.
Direct experience with infotainment, audio, antenna, or switchgear components.
Proven track record of delivering component-level projects to production.
Familiar with DFMEA, DVP, and engineering release workflows.
Experience coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Preferred: Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, 3DX, Teamcenter, Vector.
