Job Title: Project Engineer – P&D (Contract)
Location: Warwickshire
Contract Length: Minimum 6 months
Rate: £35/hour (including holiday pay)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Working Hours: 37.5 per week
Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:45
Friday: 08:00 – 15:45
(Each day includes a 45-minute lunch break)

Overview
A leading automotive engineering and test services organisation is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their Driven Attributes (Performance & Durability) team. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to technically challenging and innovative projects across the mobility sector, both in the UK and internationally.

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of customer projects within the Performance & Durability (P&D) attribute team, working on cutting-edge solutions to validate performance, reliability, and durability across a range of vehicles and systems. In addition to project delivery, you may also be asked to take ownership of specific internal or non-project activities to support team development and operational capability.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engineering activities across P&D projects, ensuring objectives are met within time, cost, and quality constraints.
Conduct and support durability and performance evaluations, using a range of tools and techniques.
Assist in vehicle instrumentation, test execution, and data analysis.
Interface with customers and internal teams to report progress and manage technical deliverables.
Support occasional UK and overseas testing and validation activities.
Take responsibility for internal improvement or capability development tasks as required.

Requirements
Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical, Automotive or similar engineering discipline.
Proven experience in vehicle performance and/or durability engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with test environments including proving grounds, lab rigs, or real-world vehicle usage.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and abroad as required.
