Job Specifications

Hawksworth are now looking for a Contract SD-WAN Project Deployment engineer for a 6-month contract paying up to £750 per day.

This role is key to the successful deployment and integration of our new Fortinet-based SD-WAN solution. You will work alongside global teams, local IT support, and third-party providers to deliver a robust and secure SD-WAN infrastructure.

London based – Liverpool St location
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office per week

Required experience:
Good experience of Fortinet SD-WAN solutions.
Experience deploying SD-WAN over traditional WAN technologies (e.g. MPLS, leased lines).
Solid understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), IP addressing, and network segmentation.

Nice to haves:
Experience with Ipanema or other legacy WAN optimisation technologies.
Familiarity with global networks in regulated or tightly controlled environments (e.g., finance, healthcare).
Exposure to network monitoring and management tools (e.g., FortiManager, SolarWinds, PRTG).
Relevant certifications (e.g., NSE4+, CCNP, JNCIS).

Special requirements :
Some travel within the EU/UK and Schengen area. You must be able to do so at without significant visa restrictions
