We're looking for an AI Consultant & Project Manager to join our team.

About The Job

We’re exploring the transformative potential of AI across our ERP rental platform and internal systems and we’re looking for someone to help lead the way.

At MCS Rental Software, we’ve been serving the equipment rental industry with innovative software solutions for decades. As we look to the future, we’re assessing how AI can enhance both customer-facing features and internal processes — from automation and predictive analytics in our ERP system, to smarter search and support tools within our intranet.

We’re seeking a part-time AI Consultant & Project Manager (10–20 hours per week) to help us identify, evaluate, and manage AI opportunities that align with our business priorities. You’ll work across departments to guide our AI strategy, advise on best practices, and deliver tangible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Work with internal stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for AI/ML integration across our ERP and intranet systems.
Define project goals, roadmaps, and resourcing plans for AI initiatives.
Provide expert guidance on best practices, vendors, and tools relevant to AI in a SaaS and enterprise software context.
Manage the delivery of pilot projects, including automation, language model integration, and data analysis tools.
Liaise with external AI consultants, vendors, or specialists as needed.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with data security and ethical standards.
Support internal adoption and training as new AI-powered tools are rolled out.

About You

Proven experience leading or advising on AI/ML projects in software or enterprise environments.
Able to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a flexible, part-time capacity (10–20 hours/week).
Based within commuting distance of Maidenhead for occasional on-site work.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SaaS platforms, and enterprise software is a plus.
Knowledge of ERP systems or the rental industry is a bonus, but not essential.
