About Us:
Founded more than 15 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 450 people operating throughout North America and in Europe. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.

Overview:
We are looking for a Java Software Developer to help us expand, productize and optimize our trading software stacks (in particular our exchange stack and trading infrastructure).

Responsibilities:
Participate in design, implementation, and deployment of trading systems and supporting applications
Work on cross-functional teams across trading, quants and development to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
Integrate and certify with exchanges and other third parties
Monitor production trading systems and optimize performance for latency and throughput

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or a related field
Experience building performant, scalable applications in Java
Experience building dynamic GUI elements in Java Swing
Passion for learning, working with new technologies, and working on high-visibility projects
Solid understanding of object orientation, parallel programming, unit testing, and performance analysis
Experience working in Linux and Windows environments
Highly collaborative in nature with excellent written and verbal communication skills
