Insight Global is looking for a Kotlin Developer for one of our premier financial services clients in London. This person will be part of the Financial Insights and Tools group within Digital Banking and will be responsible for software that enhance the customer experience by providing applications and supporting platforms to enrich the information, analysis and planning available to our customers. As a developer, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of your software from inception to production, working on a mixture of green- and brown-field projects, learning from, and contributing to your peer group. The software you will be supporting will be threaded through the web and mobile applications used by customers, powered by APIs and underlying platforms to consume, and process financial data both within and from outside the company. He or she will be building noteworthy high quality financial analysis and tools for our customers. The platform is built on top of a modern stack consisting of Kotlin/JVM for the back end interacting with other Java/JVM services internally, and a React based front end.
The ideal applicant must have the following;
5+ years of software development experience with strong knowledge in Java/JVM/Kotlin, Rest APIs and exposure to alternate JVM languages
Strong understanding of service-based architectures
Strong understanding of web applications and use APIs to power them
Proven experience with live applications and production environments
Applied statistics skills: distributions, statistical testing, regression analysis
Database experience : Postgres, MongoDB, Redis
Source Code Control: Working experience using GitHub, Bitbucket, RhodeCode
Container orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, GCP GKE, AWS ECS, AWS EKS
CI/CD platforms (we are using GitHub Actions)
Other expertise required: Git, Gitflow, Jira, Gitlab, Trello, Scrum
Bachelor's and/or master's degree or 5+ years of professional work experience

It would be a plus if the applicant had experience with production monitoring and logging tools (i.e. CloudWatch, Prometheus, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, ELF)
